Leslie brings with her a background in music and various other movement practices. In the midst of pursuing her undergraduate degree, a car accident forced her to learn about how we use our bodies to make music. She is now most passionate about teaching how to live, learn, practice, and perform in all kinds of ways with more embodiment and ease, as well as injury prevention and recovery of movement…

Awareness Through Movement® Teacher

As an Awareness Through Movement® teacher, Leslie Thompson brings with her a background in music and various other movement practices. In the midst of pursuing her undergraduate degree, a car accident forced her to learn about how we use our bodies to make music. She is now most passionate about teaching how to live, learn, practice, and perform in all kinds of ways with more embodiment and ease, as well as injury prevention and recovery of movement. She has worked with all ages and abilities and has particularly enjoyed her experience working with clients experiencing fibromyalgia and with active military.

Leslie has recently completed a graduate program receiving a master’s degree in music theory and is currently studying to practice as a yoga therapist. She enjoys learning about functional applied neurology, and when not studying, Leslie might be found in the gym, training in kickboxing, or practicing jiu jitsu!

Liz came upon the Feldenkrais Method in 2018 while completing their B.A. at Hampshire College... Although at first their draw to Feldenkrais was more cerebral, Liz soon fell into a process of self-transformation that attuned them towards a playful and curious way of sensing themself. A former farmworker and immersed in a community of farmers, Liz particularly enjoys teaching to students who are engaged in physically exertive work and helping them find ways of accessing pain free movement…
